South East: Young property role models in the running for national accolades
Nine of the South East’s most talented young property professionals are in the running for nationwide recognition after making it on to the shortlist for the 2016 RICS Matrics Young Surveyor of the Year Awards.
The annual awards was launched three years ago in a bid to raise awareness of, and reward inspirational role models in the land, property and construction sectors. Hundreds of young surveyors from across the UK, aged 35 and under, were nominated, with a shortlist of 78 aspiring to be crowned ‘Young Surveyor of the Year’ in their respective sector or specialism.
Finalists from the South East are:
• Asset & Facilities Management: Claire Bray MRICS of Lall Bray
• Commercial Agency: Matthew Brooks AssocRICS of MBI Surveyors and Emma Catterall MRICS of Michael Parkes Surveyors
• Mentor of the Year: Michael Daniels MRICS of Wates Construction
• Planning & Development: Edward Keeling MRICS of Savills
• Public Sector/Academia: Tom Southall MRICS of Portsmouth City Council
• Residential: Tonya Loades MRICS of Bartley West and Andrew McClaren MRICS of Countrywide Surveying Services
• Valuation: Madeleine Uren MRICS of Savills.
The winners will be announced at a black tie ceremony on November 18 in London.
