The corporate team at Trethowans Solicitors, based in Southampton, Poole and Salisbury, has advised the management team of Lakesmere Group, led by Mark Johnson, in relation to its buyout of the company.
Lakesmere Group, with headquarters in Winchester, is a leading international building-envelope and major-façade specialist. The group has grown significantly since incorporation in 1993 and has plans for expansion under its new executive-management-team ownership.
The transaction was facilitated by the former sole owner, Mark Davey, as part of the strategy for succession-planning and development of the Lakesmere Group.
Davey retains a stake in the business and continues as chairman of the group.
Nick Gent, partner at Trethowans, commented: “With the revised ownership-and-management structure the group is well placed to continue to build on its success.”
Mark Johnson, group finance director, commented: “It was always our intention to introduce a strategy in Lakesmere which would aid future development and drive further integration across all our business units.”
