Slough: ZTE to move to Bath Road Central business park
AEW has signed ZTE, the telecommunications and information technology group, at Bath Road Central business park in Slough.
ZTE has agreed to a 10-year lease for 9,851 sq ft on the second floor of 252 Bath Road Central, joining Telefonica O2, Fiat, Black & Decker and Furniture Village at Bath Road Central.
AEW is quoting a rent of £33.50 per sq ft per year on 252 and 234.
Since acquiring the business park, which comprises 972,300 sq ft of office and lab space across 18 buildings, in January 2016, AEW has carried out a comprehensive asset management programme including a rebranding of the office portfolio to Bath Road Central. The business park offers a number of added amenities and initiatives for tenants and employees, including food markets, a summer fete, boot camp training and a range of retail services.
Kenneth Cao, managing director of ZTE (UK), said: “We are very pleased to be moving to Bath Road Central and expanding our operations in the UK. AEW and the team at Bath Road Central have been extremely helpful in assisting us with the move and we look forward to sampling the new amenity offerings at the park.”
Charlie Royle, director, AEW said: “ZTE’s decision to choose Bath Road Central as the location for its new UK headquarters office is reflective of the quality of the business community in Slough and the access it provides to central London and the UK regions, as well as international destinations through Heathrow. Bath Road Central is at the heart of a catchment area that provides access to a highly-skilled workforce and, subsequently, it is home to the highest concentration of headquartered offices outside of Central London.”
