House of Fisher, leading provider of executive serviced apartments, has announced its latest expansion with plans to open an apart-hotel at 100 Kings Road in central Reading.  Work began in January on the multi-million pound conversion of the Kings Road former office building into an exciting mixed-use scheme. The upper floors will become an apart-hotel for House of Fisher comprising 55 furnished, executive studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom/two-bathroom suites offering high levels of refinement. Each will be finished to a high quality with contemporary interiors throughout, air conditioning Wi-Fi, flat screen TVs and fully equipped kitchens to ensure high levels of comfort and productivity for the business traveller or long-stay executive. A 24/7 hour reception, guest lounge with tea and coffee facilities plus on-site private parking will also be incorporated.

In the heart of Reading's vibrant town centre, the development is only a short walking distance from The Blade, the Oracle and main shopping amenity area, bars and restaurants. It also benefits from excellent transport links with the railway station only a few minutes walk away.

John Fisher, chairman of House of Fisher, said: “100 Kings Road, Reading is a project that we are very enthusiastic about. The completed apart-hotel will be an excellent choice of accommodation in central Reading and is an exciting addition to House of Fisher’s growing portfolio of executive apartments. Primarily aimed at the increasingly transient business market, namely project workers, consultants, etc, typically those that have variable stays, these fully-equipped suites offer a new level of luxury and comfort coupled with excellent leisure facilities. Operating as an apart-hotel means guests will be provided with hotel-style services such as the customary check-in procedure and concierge services, but still retain that unique home-from-home set up that gives them more space and flexibility during their stay. It’s a first for Reading and a hotel alternative that is second to none in the Thames Valley.”

Buzz, a state-of-the-art health and fitness facility from Advance Gym will occupy the ground and first floors. Featuring the biggest free weights space in Reading and fitted with some of the industry’s top of the range gym equipment including cardio machines, strength straining, functional training and a combat zone, the £1 million gym is expected to be the best on offer in Reading. Studio facilities will feature a full programme of classes including Spin, Bootcamp, Hardcore Abs, Pilates, Yoga, Zumba and more.
