Reading: Fora and ConnectTVT join forces for entrepreneur event
ConnectTVT and Fora teamed up for a double launch event at Thames Tower’s Roost, joined by more than 100 guests from Reading’s rapidly-growing entrepreneurial community.
Fora, a new player to the co-working market, will launch its Reading location in Thames Tower later this summer. With sites in Clerkenwell and Borough, Reading will be its first location outside London, where an ambitious growth strategy is already underway.
The evening also saw ConnectTVT launch its 50 Game Changers initiative. Now in its third year, founder and creator of Digital Gum, Louize Clarke invited Thames Valley tech and digital innovators to apply for their place in the almanac, to help shine a light on business success in the region.
Fora co-founder and CEO Enrico Sanna joined a panel of entrepreneurs who had relocated to Reading to build their businesses at Thursday’s launch event. Alongside Phin Mpofu, from Start Up Grind Thames Valley and Matt Voska, COO at Bannerman, he discussed Reading’s growing profile as a tech hub, the impact of the Elizabeth Line on businesses as well as entrepreneurial challenges around talent, culture and funding.
Louize Clarke commented: “Events like this joint launch event show me just how far Reading’s come since I launched ConnectTVT nearly four years ago. The Fora team are brilliant partners who totally get the benefit that real collaboration and partnership can bring – not just for our brands, but the wider community. We’re delighted to welcome Enrico and the team to Reading and know they’ll be an amazing asset to the start-up and scale-up economy here.”
Fora will be offering one Game Changer the opportunity to win an eight-person office for three months, free. To find out how to become a 50 Game Changer visit https://www.connecttvt.co.uk/gamechangers/.
