Reading: Avignon Capital buys retail unit for £3.2m

Square Metre Asset Management has sold the freehold of a retail unit in Reading to Avignon Capital for £3.28 million, reflecting a 6.67% net investment yield.

The Grade II-listed building, at 24/28 Queen Victoria Street is located in the centre of Reading close to the Oracle shopping centre, Broad Street and Reading Station Hill Development.

It generates a total rent of £233,673 per annum and is let to retail tenants Skipton Building Society and fashion chain Joy on the ground floor, with three upper floors of office space.

Stripe Street acted for the buyer and Green & Partners acted for the seller.
