One such graduate is Amelia Pearson, who is working within Fisher German’s compulsory purchase and compensation team across its Worcester and Hereford offices.
Amelia first joined Fisher German during a placement year while studying BSc (Hons) Rural Enterprise and Land Management at Harper Adams University.
She worked within the firm’s infrastructure division based in Ashby and from this was offered a full-time role after she graduated.
She said: “I was aware that Fisher German has a strong reputation and an excellent graduate training programme which focuses on both gaining hands-on experience and professional qualifications, so I was extremely pleased to be offered a job after university.
“During my placement I developed an interest in compulsory purchase and compensation, so being able to join the team has been fantastic and there is certainly a lot of work coming up in this area off the back of various new government schemes and policies that are being introduced.
“I have an extremely varied role where no two days are the same which I really enjoy, and I’ve already been given a level of responsibility while being supported by my line manager.
“There is a real emphasis on teamwork at Fisher German and there’s always someone on hand to offer their support. There’s also a lot of team outings which is nice as you get to know colleagues on a different level, and everyone has been very welcoming.
“There are a number of Fisher German employees who were once graduates who are now in management positions within the business which is incredibly inspiring and shows that there is a clear progression pathway for those who want to move up the career ladder.”
Andrew Bridge, Managing Partner at Fisher German, started as a graduate himself before working his way up to the top of the firm and has always encouraged staff to realise their ambitions at the company.
