Lakeside North Harbour has been chosen by toob, the full-fibre broadband provider. The rapidly growing company has moved into a 7,450 sq ft office in Building 4000. The Lakeside office will serve as the company's head office and incorporate its customer contact centre.

Established in 2018, toob initially set up its operations at Regus in Lakeside whilst it considered more permanent office space. The company needed a modern environment with first-class connectivity which provided space to grow and offered a strong base from which to recruit new members of the team. toob will be launching its services in Southampton and selected Lakeside based on its excellent facilities and prime location on the South Coast.

toob is aiming to deliver gigabit broadband speeds to more than 100,000 premises by the end of 2021, with an ambition to expand its full fibre network to more than one million homes and businesses over the next 10 years. Since joining Lakeside North Harbour the company has grown rapidly, increasing headcount from six members of staff to 29 in three months.

Nick Parbutt, toob's CEO, commented: "Our anticipated growth over the next few years means we needed to find office space which could flex accordingly.  It was also important for us to choose a location which could offer us a strong office infrastructure and a range of amenities for a growing number of employees. Lakeside provides everything we need and we are excited to be part of such successful business community."

Karen Tyrrell, head of marketing and client services at Lakeside North Harbour, added: "Lakeside offers a thriving business environment, together with a range of flexible, adaptable space and a wealth of facilities which our occupiers enjoy being able to offer their staff. We are delighted to welcome toob and it has been impressive to see how quickly the company has established itself on campus. We look forward to supporting the whole team over many years to come."
