Pictures reveal progress of Shinfield Studios development
Pictures taken by Earth Grid and released by Curo Construction have revealed the significant progress made so far at the Shinfield Studios development.
In a post on LinkedIn, the firm states it has erected an estimated 1,975 tonnes of steel to date, with a further 3,435 set to be installed. The company has also installed 9,575,000 litres of storm water attenuation, 1,282 concrete piles and 7,057 vibro stone piles.
Approved in October 2021, the 85,000 square metre site will become one of the largest film studios in the UK once complete.
The studios were recently visited by MP Sir John Redwood, he said: "Shinfield Studios have been attracted to our area by the talented workforce available in surrounding towns and villages, and by the good access from the motorway nearby.
"I wish them every success as they go about completing the buildings and welcoming those who come here to make their films. There was filming action in a completed studio on Friday which we did not disturb."
