Oxford City Council has passed a resolution to approve The Oxford Science Park's detailed planning application for Plot 12 for a new state-of-the-art office building, with roof terrace, comprising 61,500 sq ft, and capable of accommodating 500 employees.
The Oxford Science Park plans to commence construction in early 2017; a further statement will be made early in the New Year.
The Oxford Science Park is owned and managed by Magdalen College, provides one of the most influential science and technology environments in the UK. Over 450,000 sq ft of net lettable space and the Park is now home to more than 2,500 people and over 70 businesses, ranging from start-ups based in the Magdalen Centre innovation hub to major international companies.
Companies include: Amey, Becton Dickinson, Circassia, IBM, OrganOx, OxSonics, Oxford Nanopore, Sharp Laboratories, TripAdvisor, and Oxford Technology Management.
