Office building in Reading set to be converted into 144 studio flats
The conversion of offices in Reading into studio flats looks set to be agreed by the council's planning committee.
Approval has already been granted on appeal for Tene Living to turn Soane Point on Market Place into 144 flats.
Now plans to "extend upon the prior approval" are set to go before Reading Council on January 11.
Tene Living wants to partially replace the existing facades fronting Market Place and Abbey Square, alongside other external works to the building.
Also proposed is a set-back single-storey extension above part of the block fronting Market Place, part-two and part-three storey extensions above other blocks, and a conversion and alterations to the ground floor reception and car parking area.
The plans have been recommended for approval.
