Newbury Racecourse's most popular hospitality venue The Hennessey restaurant has undergone a £1.5 million transformation.

The work took place over a 14 week period and has seen the restaurant revamped into a modernised space with an all encompassing view of the race track.

Opened in 2003, The Hennessey is the most popular hospitality venue at Newbury and now can cater up to 340 guests at once.

The restaurant can also be used for non-race day events such as conferences, award ceremonies and banquets.

CEO at Newbury Racecourse Julian Thick said: “We’re thrilled to be able to unveil the refreshed Hennessy Restaurant, our signature hospitality space here at Newbury Racecourse.

“The new restaurant offers racegoers the opportunity to enjoy our year-round action from the ultimate surrounds, with picture-perfect views along the entirety of the racecourse from an impressive vantage point high above the finish line.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming racegoers and guests into The Hennessy in the coming days and weeks and we’re confident those joining us will share our excitement.’’
