Kempton Carr Croft will act for Sorbon Estates in bringing to market two A3 retail units at the brand new Chapel Arches development in Maidenhead.

The units, Picturehouse and Chapel Wharf, are prime commercial hotspots which form part of the three-phase mixed-used development where residential apartments reside alongside grade-A food and beverage offerings with river views.

Picturehouse is a large 3,910 sq ft open-plan ground-floor restaurant/retail unit with a 839 sq ft covered outdoor terrace. Chapel Wharf is a spacious 1,690 sq ft ground- floor café/retail unit with a large 850 sq ft terrace. Both overlook the waterways.

Demand for the units is expected to be high with several national chains already showing interest in bringing their brand to the affluent, popular and thriving population of Maidenhead ahead of Cross Rail’s arrival in 2019.

Chris Naylor, head of asset management at Sorbon Estates, commented: "At the heart of Maidenhead's regeneration, Chapel Arches poses a significant opportunity for retail and restaurant businesses. When complete, the new waterside community of 240 homes will offer a vibrant atmosphere, opening up a new part of town for locals to enjoy. We're working closely with our agents to ensure the new tenant is a right fit for the town, while bringing something new to excite residents and visitors."

The Chapel Arches development is the first of several large set-piece development projects planned to introduce new retail, leisure, office and residential accommodation to Maidenhead.
