Property group Romans has successfully acquired Jacksons Residential as it expands its network into Oxfordshire.

Located in Henley-on-Thames, Jacksons Residential has become Romans’ 21st branch; following the opening of its Farnham branch this month and Sunningdale branch in January.

Romans has acquired the entire business, including both the sales and lettings divisions.

Jacksons’ founder, Richard Jackson, explains why he chose Romans: “Not only does this successful, dynamic property services group offer over 26 years of market experience and expertise, with 20 sales and lettings branches across the South East, but it also shares the same key values – integrity and a passion for excellence.

“I see Jacksons’ new relationship with Romans as a natural progression for our company and the best possible way to provide our many loyal customers with the best and most up-to-date services.”

Jacksons’ staff and branding will be retained and the business will benefit from Romans’ investment in information technology, training and intensive marketing, in order to grow the agency’s market presence in the Henley-on-Thames area.

“With our extensive acquisition experience in the local area, capacity and financing facility,” said Peter Fuller, managing director of Romans Lettings, “we are ready and able to consider any acquisition opportunity and plan to accelerate our rate of growth this year and in the years to come.”

Romans was bought by its management team, backed by Bowmark Capital, in 2013 and has since acquired numerous sales and lettings businesses. Romans’ expansion is supported by a £12 million finance facility from its bankers and it is consistently looking to expand into new locations alongside its 21 existing branches in Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey and now, Oxfordshire.
