David Wilson Homes Southern is celebrating after one of its site managers in Hampshire achieved success in a top national competition to find the best building site managers in the country.

Richard Crawford, 43, has been give his fourth Pride in the Job Quality award from the National House Building Council (NHBC). These recognise the best run sites in the country and are the highest industry accolade a site manager can achieve.

Crawford, who has worked for David Wilson Homes for three years and is currently based at Locksbridge Park in Andover, said: “It’s an amazing feeling to have been given this award and I’m so happy to have been recognised for my work. I’d like to thank all of my site team as without them, this wouldn’t have been possible.”

Each of the site managers are judged on their site safety, technical skill, workmanship and customer service, plus they will also have faced a site spot check from the NHBC. With over 16,000 site managers being assessed and only around 450 winning a quality award each year, they are a much coveted sign of excellence within the industry.

These awards closely follow David Wilson Homes Southern receiving five stars in the Home Builders Federation (HBF) survey for customer satisfaction.

Paul Crispin, managing director at David Wilson Homes Southern, said: “We would like to congratulate Richard on his success and thank him for his continued dedication to our sites. We are delighted to yet again win more Pride of the Job Quality awards than any other housebuilder as it demonstrates the high standards that we demand as a company. More importantly though, the awards showcase excellence in housebuilding; homeowners who buy a Pride in the Job winning home benefit from knowing they have bought a top-quality product.”
