Green light for new multi-storey car park and workshop at Pinewood Studios
Plans have been approved by Buckinghamshire Council for a five-storey car park and ground-floor workshop at Pinewood Studios in Iver Heath.
The new build will accommodate 1,200 vehicles, with 10 per cent of the bays designed to be accessible and another 10 per cent kitted with EV charging points. Motorcycles and bikes will have a handful of bays each.
Also planned is a 26,780 sq ft workshop, complete with offices, security huts, and a general space variously used for catering, crowd holding and artist trailers.

With the studio setting its sights on becoming the largest of its kind in the world, the extra accommodation and parking space has grown increasingly necessary following the loss of more than 1,100 bays at Pinewood West.
The new development is not without controversy, as it comes as part of an £800 million plan to expand across the Green Belt.
This includes funding for a new education and training hub, sound stages, backlot filming space, and a large nature reserve at Alderbourne Farm for the public.
While the Green Belt is typically protected from such developments, environmental impact was outweighed for planning officers by the potential benefits of £640 million a year and 8,000 new jobs for the UK economy.
