Goodman secures approval for distribution and industrial warehouse at Coventry's Lyons Park
A 105,699 sq ft industrial and distribution space at Coventry’s Lyons Park has been given approval.
Goodman’s Lyons 106 facility will offer customers high-quality warehouse space in a strategic Midlands location, placing 75 per cent of England’s population within a two-hour drive time. Also included as part of the planning approval is a new lorry park with 173 spaces.
Customers will join a diverse mix of local, regional and national companies at the Park.
Lyons 106 will create new employment space for circa 200 new jobs and boosting the area’s economic recovery post-COVID.
Planning for Lyons 106 builds on Goodman’s success at Lyons Park, having already delivered 800,000 sq ft of industrial and logistics space, including a 464,000 sq ft distribution facility for Amazon and a 135,000 sq ft space to Jaguar Land Rover.
Nigel Dolan, Development Director at Goodman UK, said: “Goodman’s investment in Lyons Park aligns with our global strategy to provide retail, e-commerce and third-party logistics customers with easy access to consumers, allowing them to service areas with the highest levels of delivery demand.
“Coventry is a rich industrial and distribution destination with numerous benefits beyond its connectivity, such as a vibrant employment market.”
Lyons 106 will offer customers flexibility and operational efficiency, with features including a 12.5m clear internal height, 50m yard depth, 10 dock-level loading doors and 29 HGV spaces.
Goodman will start on site at Lyons 106 this summer, with the facility available for occupation from January 2022. Agents marketing the scheme include Avison Young, CBRE and Knight Frank.
