April Coates, Managing Director of Gloucestershire-based equine marketing and PR agency JB Promotions, is celebrating her first year managing the business she took over at just 29.

Now aged 30, April has been running the firm out of The Growth Hub, moving the business from Somerset to Gloucestershire with guidance from coworking space which has six locations across the county.

JB Promotions currently operates out of the Cirencester Growth Hub and has seen continued growth since the move, most recently being appointed to manage the PR, marketing and media for Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials in September.

April said: “For a small team, being part of a co-working space is a really great idea. You become dialled in to a network of like-minded people who come from all corners of the business world. Whether you want to spend the day in a quiet desk space, or want to bounce ideas off of neighbouring entrepreneurs, this space allows you to do that.

“This year is going to be a really exciting time for JB Promotions and having the support not only of the work space, but also the Business Navigator Stephen, who is a great sounding board for advice. Gloucestershire is the epicentre of the equine world, so moving here has really broadened our horizons.”
