Gloucestershire home to first-of-its-kind UK planning consultancy
A new specialist construction and planning consultancy, headquartered in Cirencester, has been launched to raise and maintain standards in annexe construction across England and Wales.
The National Annexe Providers Consultancy (NAPC) is the country’s first and only annexe, mobile home and garden room planning and development consultancy, working to ensure that the very highest standards of design, construction and delivery are adhered to across private and commercial projects.
An independent organisation, the NAPC will work across England and Wales, from offices at Watermoor Point on Bristol Road.
The NAPC mark will appear on documents and marketing associated with suppliers, operators and organisations to provide a reassurance of quality and best practice.
The NAPC will be headed up by local industry expert Oliver Wright.
Having worked in this niche sector for over 15 years, including for a national planning consultancy, Oliver has gained an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the planning and development process for garden rooms and annexes, resulting in an unparalleled planning application success rate.
He said: “I am proud to be leading the launch and operation of the NAPC, here in Cirencester, which will work with private and commercial operators in areas including project feasibility, planning application, lawful development, planning appeals and enforcement.
“By ensuring that consumers are informed of the potential risks and pitfalls involved in annexe and garden room building, we can help homeowners identify and avoid disreputable or inexperienced practitioners and tradespeople.
“We provide a supportive, expert service to homeowners seeking to secure planning permission for their annexe projects, and with businesses that provide annexes or other types of garden rooms to the public.
“We offer clear, professional advice and our nationwide service will provide a complete range of building control services, from background, research and drawings, through to applications, submissions and outcomes.”
