Gloucestershire is set to benefit from up to 1,250 new long-term jobs as developer and regeneration specialist, St. Modwen, gets the green light on plans to develop its Quedgeley East Business Park.

Adjacent to junction 12 of the M5, this latest planning consent enables St. Modwen to bring forward approximately 935,000 sq ft of prime warehouse & industrial space on the 58 acre site.  Due to be delivered in phases, the speculative construction of the first three units will start next year to provide a total of 178,000 sq ft of industrial and warehousing space for occupation at the end of 2019.

Pete Davies, Development Director for St. Modwen West and Wales said: “Demand for premium quality warehouse and industrial space close to the motorway is the driving force behind our building programme for Quedgeley East Business Park.  The green light to develop 935,000 sq ft will allow us to meet occupier requirements and attract significant inward investment for Gloucestershire in line with our overall purpose of changing places and creating sustainable new communities. The initial three buildings will provide 45,000 sq ft, 60,000 sq ft and 73,000 sq ft to rent. We are also ready to deliver build to suit facilities up to approximately 400,000 sq ft immediately adjacent to Junction 12.”

Quedgeley East is one of three St. Modwen sites in Gloucestershire alongsidethe £22 million Gateway 12 Business Park and £150 million mixed-use scheme at Littlecombe in Dursley. Quedgeley East’s close proximity to the M5 motorway makes it the perfect choice for warehousing and industrial firms.  Interested parties should contact St. Modwen’s joint agents Alder King (Adrian Rowley – 01452 627133) or DTRE (Richard Harman – 0203 328 9089) for full details.
