Eastleigh: New skills college to open in Eastleigh, says LSH
Engineering trainees building careers in key trades will have a new place to learn after national property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) and Southampton-based Keygrove Chartered Surveyors helped bring a leading college to Chandler's Ford, Eastleigh.
Engineering Real Results (ERR), which runs courses for the gas, electrics, plumbing, renewables and air conditioning sectors, has agreed a 10-year lease of Unit 4, Warrior Park, Chandler's Ford Industrial Estate for its new south coast training centre.
Acting on behalf of landlords, Southampton Builders and the former tenant B&Q, Keygrove and LSH worked to surrender an existing lease to B&Q and grant a new lease to ERR for the 7,986 sq ft industrial unit with first-floor offices.
Adrian Whitfield, director of industrial and logistics agency at LSH’s south coast office in Southampton, said: “The shortage of good quality units of this type and size in the area meant that it was able to command an annual rent of £56,600.”
Richard Nevines, director at Keygrove, said: “This letting is yet another sign of recovery in the local economy as the need for skilled tradesmen and craftsmen increases. The building is ideal for this purpose because of its size, amenities and location.”
