Global transport giant Kuehne + Nagel has relocated its South Coast drink logistics division to Chandlers Park in Eastleigh, Hampshire.

Acting on behalf of the landlord, national commercial property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has let Unit 2 on Chandlers Park in Chandler's Ford Industrial Estate to Kuehne + Nagel.

The international logistics company has taken the 22,302 sq ft modern detached warehouse unit for one of its drink logistics facilities, of which there are currently 25 in the UK.

Represented by Clews & Co Chartered Surveyors, Kuehne + Nagel has signed a five-year lease at £6.75 per sq ft.

Director in LSH’s Southampton office Adrian Whitfield said: “Kuehne + Nagel’s drinks distribution was located in three separate sites in the area and the company wanted to consolidate into a more central location to better serve the South Coast. There is currently a shortage of large units of the size and specification they required, so when Chandlers Park became available it was the perfect fit.

“The industrial property has a secure yard, two loading doors and 7.4m eaves height and is well located with good accessibility to the M27 and M3 motorway networks.

“Within a week of receiving the instruction from our client, we had identified and agree the terms of letting with Kuehne + Nagel and we are very pleased to have found such a reputable tenant for the property.”

Kuehne + Nagel is a global transportation and logistics company based in Schindellegi, Switzerland. First established in 1968, Kuehne + Nagel has grown significantly and today thebusiness offers a range of integrated logistics and transport service in over 100 locations nationwide with approximately 10,300 employees.

Unit 2, Chandlers Park, is located on School Close, off School Lane – the main arterial route through Chandler's Ford Industrial Estate. Other occupiers on this estate include GE Aviation, Carlsberg, Vodafone, Coopervision, Hendy Ford, VES Andover and Selwood Plant Hire.
