Fifty new jobs have been created with the opening of Dalcour Maclaren’s second office in Bicester this month.

Founded in the town 21 years ago, the professional services consultancy to the utilities and infrastructure industry has grown its workforce to 475 full-time staff.

It has opened new working spaces in 18 locations nationwide including London, Bristol, Thetford, Crewe, Stirling and Ballymena in Northern Ireland.

The new office forms part of a long-term growth strategy with Dalcour Maclaren intending to increase its workforce to meet the demand from the UK’s utility and infrastructure sector.

Surveyors, project managers, environmental planners and GIS specialists are being recruited.

The bespoke-designed office will create a new hub for teamwork and collaboration at its Oxfordshire headquarters.

James Neil, CEO and founder of Dalcour Maclaren, said creating new jobs and upscaling the company’s operation will maintain the company’s place as a leader in the services provided.

He said: “Expanding our headquarters in Bicester is an important milestone, and one we’re especially proud of given Oxfordshire is where Dalcour Maclaren launched.

“The UK is undergoing a seismic shift in utility and infrastructure investment as part of a push to net zero because of climate change.

“Dalcour Maclaren is at the forefront of this, helping clients deliver vital work for UK plc.

“This new office will help us grow our team and support our ambitious growth plans.

“We are people-focused, so want to ensure we have the best environment for our team to keep on delivering our great work across the UK.”

Joanna Middleton, head of talent acquisition at Dalcour Maclaren, said: “As a business rooted in relationships and service excellence, our new space supports our mission to offer careers which accommodate all lifestyles while championing inclusivity and innovation.

“Our new office will create hundreds of jobs over the next five years, fostering emerging skills in technology to keep us at the forefront of a rapidly evolving workplace.

“We are bold in our recruitment strategy, proactively attracting talent from all backgrounds and levels, from apprenticeships and graduate programs to mid-senior and leadership roles.

“If you're looking for a purpose-driven role where you can achieve your ambitions and make a difference to the future of our planet, we want to hear from you."
