HBS Mechanical has further strengthened its long-standing relationship with Barratt David Wilson Homes (Southampton) after being appointed to supply and install plumbing and heating systems for 123 new homes at Madgwick Park in Westhampnett, Chichester.

The contract award builds on HBS Group Southern’s reputation as a contractor of choice for the UK’s largest housebuilder and demonstrates why HBS, headquartered at Whiteley, continues to be one of the South’s leading mechanical experts in the new-build housing sector.

Situated in Westhampnett, home to the Goodwood Estate, Madgwick Park will provide a much-needed housing boost for the area, delivering 123 new properties, including 28 units for affordable housing. Finished to a high specification, the development offers a range of contemporary designed 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes for first-time buyers, growing families and commuters.

Led by a SSMS qualified contracts manager, HBS Mechanical’s on-site teams will manage the supply, installation, testing, commissioning and statutory compliance of all gas, heating and water system requirements for eight different house types being constructed.

Together with the quality control manager, HBS’s dedicated project delivery team will be focused on achieving the highest quality and service standards throughout the installation process.

Paul Bailey, operations director, HBS Group Southern commented: “As we continue to expand our operations across the South East, I am delighted that HBS Mechanical, a trusted partner to Barratt David Wilson Southampton for well over two decades, has been awarded the contract for Madgwick Park in Chichester.

"We have assembled a strong team of excellent engineers who, along with our experienced on-site management team, will ensure we deliver a quality service and product which will exceed our client’s expectations."
