Bericote Properties, funded by Blackrock, has commenced development of a new 150,000 sq ft industrial/warehouse development on the Chandler's Ford Industrial Estate.
The new scheme will consist of three units of 20,000, 45,000 and 84,000 sq ft – all detached and benefiting from self-contained secure yards, catering for the much-needed demand of occupiers on the South Coast.
The total development value of the new scheme is approximately £20 million with the units ready for occupation in September 2017.
Following completion of the acquisition of the site from Hampshire Police, development work has immediately commenced with the demolition on the old APW manufacturing facility.
The South Coast office of Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has successfully brokered the funding of the new development. Jerry Vigus, director of capital markets and industrial & logistics, commented: “This exciting new development will cater to the demand of local and national occupiers and achieve the sort of supply the industrial/warehouse market in the region needs. We are already in detailed discussions with a number of occupiers and, with the development being located in such an established location with easy access to the motorway network, we expect the scheme to be successful.”
LSH and Colliers are joint agents for Bericote Properties and Blackrock on the letting of the new units.
