Specialist professional services and technology firm Davies Group has taken a five year lease of the 3,255 sq ft fourth floor at Hanover House in Bristol.
The letting is the latest at the six-storey office building on Queen Charlotte Street in the city centre, following a wholescale, intrusive refurbishment last year by the landlord.
The refurbished building now features a reconfigured reception, brick feature walls, exposed ceilings with LED lighting, a VRV heating/cooling system, new shower and changing facilities, cycle storage and car parking.
Colliers advised the landlord as sole leasing agents on Hanover House. Davies Group was advised by Oliver Stainsby of OBI.
Alfie Passingham, senior surveyor in the National Offices team at Colliers, said the comprehensive programme of works at Hanover House had enhanced its appeal to occupiers, and he predicted demand would increase as restrictions resulting from the pandemic were eased.
“After gaining vacant possession of the whole building, we were able to advise our client on a wholescale refurbishment and repositioning of this building in the Bristol market,” he said.
“As Covid-related restrictions relax and we edge towards a return to greater normality, we are certainly seeing an increase in requirements in Bristol city centre. Some businesses are consolidating, whilst others are growing, but the trend towards investing in high quality workspace continues and as a result quality, well-located premises such as Hanover House are attracting an increasing number of enquiries.”
