Brighton and Hove Albion Council are considering plans for a new seafront luxury hotel.

Local businessmen Lucky Gohler and James Randall, have submitted the application to convert the disused and vacant sea front property into a luxury hotel. Their submission is supported by Visit Brighton Tourist body.

They are seeking to remodel the building at 10-12 Grand Junction Road. The site has had a hotel or hostel on it for decades, former incarnations include the Palace Pier Hotel which was replaced by the Princes Hotel.

Darren Johnson of VisitBrighton Convention Bureau, said: "The Tourism and Leisure Department would be supportive of any works that would bring the building back into use and to renovate the exteriors in an area which acts as a city gateway to our business and leisure visitors."
