Bournemouth: Steele Raymond further strengthens property team

Dorset law firm Steele Raymond LLP has appointed two further property solicitors to its top tier commercial property team, with the team now comprising one of the largest of its kind on the South Coast.

Associate solicitors Chris Elliott and Luke Mowbray are the latest senior additions to the team and follow a number of new senior appointments at Steele Raymond’s head office in Bournemouth over the past three years.

Bournemouth-born Elliott, who joins from a large South Coast law firm, has more than five years’ experience in both commercial and residential development work as well as dealing with property investment for both developers and landowners.

Speaking about his appointment he said: “The firm’s vision, the highly specialised nature of the property work at Steele Raymond and the clear commitment to client service all played a huge role in me joining the firm.”

Mowbray also joins the commercial property team at Steele Raymond having trained and qualified in 2014 at a large Wiltshire based law firm. He advises clients on all aspects of their commercial property requirements including complex disposals, acquisitions, expansions, relocations and lease renewal work. Mowbray also has a particular specialism in charity property law, having advised a number of regional and national charities on their commercial property requirements.

Commenting on his appointment, Mowbray said: “The commercial property team at Steele Raymond has an excellent reputation regionally and I’m excited to be joining such a growing and passionate team.”

The appointments boost an already 17-strong commercial property team at Steele Raymond that is one of the largest and most experienced commercial property teams on the South Coast. The team have received the highest possible ‘top-tier’ ranking in the 2019 edition of The Legal 500 for the 14th consecutive year.
