Mobile phone giant Three has shortlisted four options in Reading and Maidenhead for its up to 200,000 sq ft headquarters requirement in the South East, according to CoStar.

Three, which is being advised by Alder King, has a requirement that could lead to it moving to between 120,000 sq ft and 200,000 sq ft depending on which space it consolidates from in the South East.

It occupies 120,000 sq ft at Star House on Grenfell Road, in Maidenhead with two years left on its lease with landlord Legal & General. It also occupies 90,000 sq ft in Reading, at the former Hutchison 3G office in Great Brighams Mead.

Market sources said Three had shortlisted four options:

  • Aberdeen Standard Investment’s Kings Chase site in Maidenhead where the landlord recently received consent for a major redevelopment
  • M&G Real Estate’s Forbury Place estate in Reading
  • Royal London Asset Management and XLB’s Statesman House office and development site in Maidenhead
  • A refurbishment and regear of its current Maidenhead address.

Three declined to comment. Alder King was unavailable for comment.
