The first sod has been cut on a 240-home community in Benson, South Oxfordshire.

The Chiltern Grange development on Watlington Road is set to deliver a collection of two to five bedroom properties.

The development will also underpin approximately 480 jobs for local people during its time and will bring significant investments of more than £3 million to the area.

Nestled at the foot of Chiltern Hills (AONB) with the River Thames flowing through the village, the development’s idyllic location offers a range of amenities in the village with excellent road and rail links to Wallingford, Oxford, Reading and London.

Campbell Gregg, Managing Director at David Wilson Homes Southern, said: “We’re really excited to have started work at Chiltern Grange and look forward to bringing much needed, quality properties to the area."

The first homes are due to be released this summer.
