A new go-karting facility is being launched this month at SEGRO’s Kingsland Business Park in Basingstoke. Absolutely Leisure is opening its latest Absolutely Karting track having leased just over 47,000 sq ft on a nine-year lease at 10 Wade Road. The go-karting facility will offer budding Lewis Hamiltons the opportunity to race around the track on 270cc GT5 karts and put their skills to the test with tight corners and two 50 metre straights. The facility is open to the public and also offers corporate team building packages.

Absolutely Leisure, which operates Absolutely Karting, is an existing SEGRO customer based on the Slough Trading Estate, where they also operate Absolutely Fitness.

In addition to this new lease, Cohort Technology has doubled its occupation at Norton House at Kingsland Business Park. The IT services company is now occupying 7,556 sq ft over two floors, on a ten year lease.

Will Page, leasing manager for SEGRO in the Thames Valley commented: “The addition of Absolutely Karting to Kingsland Business Park will bring a new dimension to the park, adding to the diverse range of customers already located here. We’re also delighted to have worked with Cohort Technology to expand their presence at Norton House which means that this building is now 75% occupied.”

David Brind, group manager at Absolutely Leisure, said: “Absolutely Leisure has been looking to expand and launch a new track for a while now and Basingstoke seemed to be the perfect location. There is a real focus on leisure in the town and we want to add to that offering. Karting is an adrenaline-charged experience, providing fun for all age-groups and our brand new track enables racers to tackle a challenging circuit. This is a really exciting venture for Absolutely Leisure and we are looking forward to establishing a lasting relationship with the Basingstoke community.”

The Kingsland Business Park is an established industrial / warehouse location with easy access to the M3 motorway and Basingstoke town centre. A range of industrial / warehouse units are available from 4,198 sq ft, with additional bespoke design and build opportunities for warehouse, distribution and production uses up to 45,640 sq ft.
