Barratt Homes strengthens its foundations in Gloucestershire
Housebuilder Barratt Homes is building momentum in Gloucestershire as its flagship development off Winnycroft Lane in Matson, Gloucester is well underway.
Meanwhile the first foundations are being laid at the newly approved Whittle Gardens, Innsworth.
144 homes in Whittle Gardens, Innsworth (pictured) were approved last month and work has already started with the first foundations and ground work commencing.
The development will be made up of a range two-, three- and four-bedroom homes that will contribute to the wider Whittle Garden community.
These homes will go on sale later this autumn, with first competitions expected early next year.
Whilst just down the road in Matson, the Gloucester flagship development of 420 homes is in full-swing.
The first homes will launch later this Autumn offering a variety of two-, three- and four-bedroom homes close to Gloucester Quays. First completions will be expected early next year.
These two new developments will add to the already existing Barratt Homes presence in Gloucestershire whilst supporting over 1,700 jobs during their construction process as well as supporting 19 apprenticeships.
Barratt Homes are also contributing over £3.2 million towards community facilities such as play areas, open spaces and education contributions.
These developments will also contribute over £6.7 million in tax revenue and over £630,000 in local tax revenue.
Barratt Developments has reached its target of installing 4,000 swift nesting bricks since 2016. The firm aims to reach a greater milestone of installing a further 7,000 nesting bricks by 2025 many of which will be in Gloucestershire and the South West.
