Water treatment manufacturer ADEY appoints new Managing Director

Gloucester-based ADEY has promoted Helen Isherwood from Innovation Director to Managing Director.

Since graduating in Business Studies and Languages, Helen has built up 25 years of experience at the head of marketing, product, customer services, development, and quality teams all over the world. She has spent the last six years with ADEY developing and overseeing its innovation roadmap, as well as supporting operations.

As Managing Director, Helen is to focus on growing ADEY and its recently-acquired Alpha Scientific on the international stage. She will drive the company to shape the future of the industry through continued thought leadership and innovation, while also supporting the development and wellbeing of employees.

Helen said: “We have a great culture at ADEY and a very innovative product and service portfolio, so I’m absolutely delighted to have taken on the role of Managing Director.

“The business has been through a number of changes in recent years, including acquiring Alpha Scientific and being bought ourselves in 2021 by Polypipe, now Genuit Group. It’s an exciting time for ADEY as we look to grow further, with a growing emphasis on sustainability and renewable technology.

“While success is obviously critical to the businesses’ continued growth, I also want to make sure that ADEY has a positive impact on the world.

“Our purpose - protecting the world’s heating and cooling systems, to have a positive impact on the environment and people’s lives - is central to this and it will continue to be something that runs through everything we do as we aim to become more socially conscious.”

Helen takes over from Matthew Webber, who becomes Managing Director of the Climate Management Solutions division of ADEY’s parent company, Genuit Group.
