An international trade seminar organised by the Cheltenham office of national audit, tax, advisory and risk firm Crowe UK will consider the implications of the on-going Brexit negotiations and their likely impacts.

The event, ‘A new international landscape – the road ahead’, will be held at Hatherley Manor Hotel, Down Hatherley, near Gloucester, on Wednesday 18 July.

The principal guest speaker is Blue O’Connor, an international trade research advisor working for the Department for International Trade who is based at Business West.

He will be supported by Crowe partners Chris Mould who will set the scene, and Keri Pay who will address the VAT perspective of international trade.

Chris Mould said: “The event is aimed at managing directors and finance directors of businesses which currently trade, or wish to trade, internationally. It will be of interest to anyone responsible for managing an international supply chain.”

Topics to be addressed will include international supply chains, importing and exporting, new trading opportunities and challenges, and insights into key international markets.

Mould added: “As Crowe UK, we are part of Crowe Global, one of 220 member firms around the world, and so we can share a unique insight into issues facing those who trade internationally.

“With the Brexit picture changing daily, it is essential that those with an international focus keep abreast of likely changes and are up-to-the-minute on the changing political and economic scene.”

There will also be an opportunity to discuss issues informally with the speakers at the end of the presentations. The event runs from 08.30 to 11.00 on Wednesday 18 July. Places must be booked in advance, by calling 01242 234421.
