Sarah Collins has been appointed as head of restructuring for KPMG in the Thames Valley. This new role reflects the demand in the region among businesses responding to liquidity challenges or seeking to identify opportunities to enhance working capital.
Collins has 14 years’ experience with the firm on restructuring small and medium businesses. She commented on her appointment: “Given the recent office move into the centre of Reading and the current economic climate, this is an exciting time to lead the team. Across the region, we are increasingly working with proactive management teams responding to ever-changing financial challenges and taking advantage of opportunities to operate more effectively, increase profitability and enable growth.
“I’m really looking forward to working with the diverse business community in the region, from privately-owned firms to large corporates.”
Andrew Morgan, senior partner for KPMG in Reading, added: “I’m delighted to have Sarah appointed to this important role in our new central Reading office. Over the last five years in the Thames Valley, there has been growing demand from the retail, building and tech sectors in particular for restructuring support.
“Sarah’s appointment will be a real boost to our team, and she will work closely with our local Corporate Finance, Deal Advisory, and Legal Services experts.”
