Southampton’s Trethowans completes Chiltern Timber sale
Trethowans, the Southampton-based law firm, has completed the sale of independent builders’ merchants Chiltern Timber Supplies Ltd to an entity within the Lords Group.
Operating from a single Hemel Hempstead site, Chiltern Timber specialises in providing hardwoods, special timber sections, timber landscaping products and veneered sheet material, along with operating a milling facility.
The transaction, which completed on 31 March 2023, was led by Trethowans Partner Lucy Gleisner.
Lucy, who is Head of the Corporate Team at Trethowans, said: “It has been a pleasure to support Gerry and his team on the sale, enabling them to transfer ownership of the company to Lords in order to drive further growth.
“There are strong synergies between the two companies and the acquisition will complement Lords’ current locations and product ranges.”
