Southampton solicitors Paris Smith has announced the appointment of Sue Murphy as practice director.
Sue is the first female practice director in the firm's 205 year history, bringing 20 years of experience in management and leadership support roles in the legal sector.
Her new role will also make her a member of Paris Smiths' strategic and operations boards, working closely with managing partner Huw Miles and senior partner Peter Taylor.
Huw Miles said: "Sue will be a fantastic practice director. She has the full deck of skills and experience, but most importantly, she knows how to deliver results. The whole firm has begun a new five-year journey to greater heights and Sue’s appointment will help us get there."

Sue's official start is July 1 (2023). She said: "I'm really excited to be taking on this role," she said. "The firm has a long-standing reputation for excellence and I am proud to be able to make an enhanced contribution to that.
