Ross-on-Wye based risk and compliance company HSL Compliance, has bought South Wales based water and effluent treatment business Albanyoak Limited. The deal was supported by law firm Harrison Clark Rickerbys.

HSL Compliance specialises in water, hazardous materials, fire safety and associated health, safety and environmental services. It is part of SGI Compliance group (SGI) and focuses on supporting customers in their compliance with relevant legislation and protecting their staff from hazardous materials or activities.

Albanyoak Limited has been committed to supplying products and services of the highest quality and is a member of the Legionella Control Association. The acquisition of Albanyoak Limited allows HSL Compliance to expand its services into industrial water treatment as well as adding considerable experience and a history of exceptional customer service.

Gavin Hartley, Managing Director of HSL Compliance, said: “Combining Albanyoak Limited’s services with our own is a fantastic opportunity for both businesses. We quickly recognised that the values and culture of Albanyoak Limited were reflective of our own as well as strategically allowing us to enter into new markets. We are very excited about the future of both businesses.”

Arpinder Dhillon, who also heads Harrison Clark Rickerby's Wye Valley office, said: “HSL Compliance are a long-standing client who we are delighted to be able to support in their growth and development. They are one of the UK’s leading legal compliance companies and this acquisition will enable them to expand into new areas of the market. We wish them every success.”
