PwC has appointed John Ellis as office senior partner in Reading, taking over from Miles Saunders. Ellis has been with the firm for almost 25 years and comes to Reading from the London assurance business.
He has worked with a variety of clients from small private businesses to large listed companies, as well as spending four years leading PwC’s London region private equity team.
Ellis said: “I’m very much looking forward to this opportunity. The firm has had a strong year across all business areas and our growth is the result of the long-term investment we’ve continued to make in our people and new technology.
“Our Reading office continues to grow and as a result we’re taking additional office space at 3 Forbury Place this Spring. Our continued investment will help to make sure that we have the right expertise in place to deliver the best possible service for our clients and businesses in the Thames Valley.”
Miles Saunders has taken on a new role in the Thames Valley working with some of the region’s major clients. He said: “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my seven years as office senior partner of Reading and I’ve worked with a great team of people. The office has experienced a huge amount of growth in that time, both in terms of the people and the services that we’ve been able to provide to our clients.
“I have no doubt that John’s experience and leadership will help build upon the office’s success.”
