Reading-based Vale & West will start 2019, the firm’s 125th anniversary, with a new partner – experienced Thames Valley accountant and tax adviser Terry Wright.

Joining as the fourth Vale & West partner of the growing independent firm, Wright commented: “My whole career has been in the Thames Valley with local and national accountancy firms.”

“I’ve built a solid network around the Thames Valley and made many professional contacts, several of them now business friends, and the opportunity to join Vale & West and help them to drive the business forward was ideal for me.”

Welcoming Wright, who specialises in working with owner-managed businesses and providing statutory year-end and bespoke outsourced solutions for UK and overseas businesses, Vale & West managing partner Jason Pyke noted: “Terry’s skills and experience will complement our firm’s existing abilities and talents very well. His appointment augurs a bright and positive future for us all as we enter our 125th year of business.”

Wright added: “I’ve known the partners here professionally for some time now. They have a similar way of working with clients as myself and I can see myself as a perfect match for them and the firm.”

“Vale & West is a very well established firm with fantastic clients, and has a great offering which deserves to be more widely known. I look forward to bringing my experience and ideas to the partnership.”

Living locally, Wright is also a member and treasurer of the Reading Professionals for Barnado’s committee, which regularly stages local charitable fundraising events.

Over recent years Vale & West has been growing steadily while continuing to invest in professional staff, information technology and its Reading town-centre workspace.

Terry Wright is the latest and most high-profile appointment to the burgeoning Vale & West team.
