President of Professional Negligence Lawyers Association joins Cheltenham's BPE
The president of the Professional Negligence Lawyers Association has joined Cheltenham-based law firm BPE Solicitors as a consultant.
Katy Manley is a well-recognised expert solicitor and a leading name for claimant professional negligence work.
She brings a wealth of experience and connections to the highly rated BPE team, who have known and worked with Katy for some time.

John Carter, the lead partner on professional negligence work at BPE, commented on Katy’s arrival; “It is great for the litigation practice and for BPE as a whole – we are excited to work with Katy and draw on her expertise and insights from her role at the PNLA.

Katy originally qualified as a solicitor in 1989 and worked in London until moving to the west country in 1991.
She was made an equity partner in a leading Bristol practice in 1995 becoming Head of the Professional Negligence team. Katy formed Manley Turnbull Limited solicitors in 2006 and has now joined BPE.

Katy is one of the leading names for claimant professional negligence work and is known not only for her practice but also from publishing articles and lecturing on this subject.
She is a founder member and President of the Professional Negligence Lawyers Association (‘PNLA’) launched in 2004. With the management team, Katy has been responsible for arranging seminars and events, lobbying Government and consultations with regulatory and other bodies.
Consultations include revising the Professional Negligence Pre Action Protocol, the working party for what is now the PNBA Adjudication Scheme and the SRA consultation into the closure of SIF.
