Partners& bolsters South West presence with Town and Country
A Buckinghamshire-headquartered insurance advisory business has acquired leading Devon-based insurance broker, Town and Country Insurance Services, building its presence in the South West and establishing its regional hub.
Partners& has bought Town and Country, one of the oldest independent insurance brokers in the UK.
Phil Barton, Partners& CEO, said: “Richard and Emma have built a wonderful business based on strong client-first principles – focusing on building long lasting relationships, providing a personal service, and standing by the advice they provide. These principles are directly in line with our Partners& values and I am excited about the team becoming part of the Partners& family.”
Richard Bushnell, Managing Director, said: “Our decision to join forces with Partners& was an important move for us. We are proud of the business that has been created over the last 87 years and could only consider such a decision knowing that Phil and the team care as much for clients and people as we do.”
Emma Tucker, Operations Director, said: “It’s an exciting time and I’m looking forward to bringing our two businesses together. This move will present great career opportunities for our people, strengthen our access to insurer markets, and offer our clients access to a broader range of services to help them manage and mitigate their risks. We’re really delighted.”
Cheltenham solicitors BPE acted for Partners&, led by corporate partner Adam Kean.
Adam said: “Working on these two further transactions with Phil and the team was a real pleasure. We are pleased to be able to assist in adding further businesses to the growing Partners& group and to help them expand their insurance offering”.
BPE’s Corporate team has previously acted for Partners& advising on a significant investment from private equity firm Capital Z Partners and the subsequent acquisition of seven insurance advisory businesses.
Phil Barton, CEO of Partners&, said, “Adam and the team at BPE have continued to provide us with commercially astute advice and I am grateful for their genuine desire to help us build our brand. Adding both IFM and T&C to the group widens our sector capabilities, extends our national offering and is directly in line with our strategy to build the best insurance advisory business in the UK
