Osborne Clarke advises 1E on Carlyle acquisition
Reading-based lawyers at international legal practice Osborne Clarke have advised the management team of software business 1E on the acquisition of a majority stake in the company by global investment firm The Carlyle Group.
London-based 1E is a leading innovator in 'endpoint management' and its 1E Tachyon Platform provides real-time diagnosis, remediation and automation that fixes issues fast and without interruption, providing critical infrastructure for businesses adopting hybrid working.
Reading-based partner Mike Freer (pictured) advised 1E's management team and 1E, along with fellow Osborne Clarke corporate partners Mathias Loertscher and Alistair Francis. They were supported by senior associate Leanne Maund, associates Josephine Healy, Katie Tait (both corporate) and Ed Grey (employment). Partner David Nisbet also advised on tax matters alongside associate director Laura Allum, who provided incentives advice.
