Cheltenham law firm, BPE Solicitors has been voted a finalist in the ‘Law firm of the year: The Independents – South and Midlands’ category of The Lawyer Awards. Up against firms from across London, the Midlands, Birmingham, Bristol, the south West and the south East. The shortlisting is testament to the expertise and skills held in the Gloucestershire-headquartered firm.

CEO Paul Browne said: “It’s a great achievement for us to be shortlisted in these awards. It’s the first time we’ve entered so being shortlisted is a real commendation for the hard work and dedication of everyone at BPE. From partner to paralegal, support staff to secretaries – this is an award for the whole team and we’ll be looking forward to the awards presentation in June when we find out how we fared.”

The awards are the biggest night of the year for the legal industry and will take place in a ceremony at Grosvenor House in London. Entries were considered by more than 70 judges from private practice, in house and the Bar, narrowing down to the final shortlist and ultimate winners from hundreds of entries.

With more than 70 lawyers among the 130+ team, and ten trainees, BPE works with clients across wide-ranging sectors and at every level of industry; from large multi-nationals, regional entrepreneurial SMEs and start-ups to private clients. “BPE has teams of experts who put their clients first and achieve brilliant results,” Paul continued.

“This award just goes to show that we can compete head to head with city firms. We’ve long believed that at BPE lawyers get to experience and deliver city quality work for top clients. We are all proud of this shortlisting.”
