A Leamington lawyer has been recognised at a top regional awards ceremony.

Tina Chander, Partner and Head of Employment Law at Wright Hassall, was named 'Influencer of the Year' at the Warwickshire Law Society Awards at Nailcote Hall in Berkswell.

The awards are held annually and recognise the excellence of the legal sector across the region, with the ‘Influencer of the Year’ category introduced for the very first time this year.

Tina’s award was in recognition of her successful End Workplace Bullying campaign and the launch of End Workplace Bullying Day in October.

The campaign, which followed a major national survey, shone a light on toxic behaviour at work and has enabled open discussion to cultivate a better, safer workplace for all.

The accolade also recognised her significant impact in the community through regional business events, regular public speaking, and media commentary on employment law.

Tina, who has been at Wright Hassall since 2016, said: “I’m honoured and proud to have won this award.

“Over the last 16 years in employment law, I have spoken to so many employees about bullying issues in the workplace and also employers not knowing what to do.

“The End Workplace Bullying campaign is something which I have felt incredibly passionate about to strike out unwanted or intolerant behaviour, and we have had such a positive response to the campaign.

“These awards are a fantastic celebration of individuals and companies across the region and I’d like to congratulate everyone else who was recognised, including my colleague Perveen Dhami – Partner and Head of Property Litigation – who was shortlisted for Lawyer of the Year.”

The Warwickshire Law Society was established in 1914 and represents more than 750 solicitors, trainee solicitors and legal executives in Coventry and Warwickshire.
