HSBC funding helps Bruton school scale sports facilities
Funding from HSBC UK is helping the King's School in Bruton improve its sporting facilities.
Among the renovations at the school, which was founded in 1519, will be the refurbishment of its 1920s cricket pavilion ahead of the new cricket season in March 2023. The finance package will also be used for new changing rooms for both the home and away teams.
Louis Tuson, Bursar at King’s School, Bruton said: “Thanks to HSBC UK, the restored pavilion will be able to offer better facilities for school sporting events and the local community.
“These amenities will bolster the already wide array of sporting activities available to our 370 pupils, providing cricket for both boys and girls. Our Relationship Director at HSBC UK, Paul Lane, has been fantastic in ensuring the financial processes ran smoothly.”
James Shepherd, Head of Corporate Banking, South West at HSBC UK, said: “It’s been a pleasure to support the school in upgrading its sporting facilities. This impressive, high-quality new pavilion will complement the already superb sports grounds at the site.”
