Herrington Carmichael announces eight promotions as firm expands
South East-focused Herrington Carmichael, based in Hampshire, has announced eight promotions as the legal firm grows.
Cesare McArdle and Matthew Lea, who started off as trainees ten years ago, have both been promoted to partners, the company said.

Cesare specialises in construction law, while Lea is a specialist in in tech M&A.
Rebecca Habgood de Burgh joined with the firm's acquisition of Bonnetts and becomes a legal director.
So too does Melissa Deutrom, who specialises in financial services and business ownership.
Chris Gemson, specialised in banking law, has been promoted to senior solicitor after joining the firm in 2015.
Anna Svensson, Alex Harper and Joel Gocool all joined Herrington Carmichael in 2021 having only been qualified for just over two years. Now, all three are being promoted to senior solicitors within their respective teams.
Svensson, in real estate, specialises in advising both landlords and tenants. Harper is in the employment team and specialises in equal pay. Finally, Gocool works in the commercial team and specialises in franchise law.
