Hampshire’s Gattaca PLC unites STEM recruitment brands under Matchtech
Hampshire-based employment agency Gattaca PLC has announced that it is combining all of the group’s existing STEM recruitment brands under the Matchtech brand.
The move is being made to offer clients a more comprehensive STEM skills offering and also to tackle the skills gap in STEM oriented industries - research undertaken by STEM Learning indicated that 89 per cent of STEM businesses found it difficult to recruit staff with the required skills.
Some of the brands joining Matchtech are: digital and technology skills recruiter Networkers; and rail design, build and maintenance business Resourcing Solutions. The move better places the businesses to provide a well-rounded STEM skills offering to clients in line with the group’s overall growth ambitions.
Chief sales officer at Gattaca Grahame Carter said: “Matchtech & Resourcing Solutions have worked closely together since 2017, providing a complementary offering across both rail design and rail site works, supplying talent to all the UK’s major rail projects for over 25 years.
‘’As a combined force under the Matchtech brand, we will only strengthen our capability in the rail industry, offering both clients and candidates an excellent service and expert understanding of projects, skills demands and talent trends.”
Additionally, learning, development & training recruitment provider Alderwood will be joining the Barclay Meade brand. The combination of businesses is designed to cover: HR & Talent, Finance & Accounting, Procurement & Supply Chain, and Sales & Marketing professional staffing recruitment.
CEO of Gattaca PLC Matthew Wragg said: “Matchtech has been synonymous with engineering skills recruitment for nearly 4 decades, but it’s been clear for some time that the traditional skills areas of technology and engineering have been converging. As the skills landscape continues to evolve at pace, our customers increasingly need a blend of digital, engineering and technology skills in their business and it will be harder to differentiate between them.
‘’By adding Networkers’ tech recruitment capability into the Matchtech brand, we are making it easier for customers to access a broader range of tech talent and jobs, with expertise across a range of systems, applications, and programming languages in an array of technical sectors.”
The merger of brands under both Matchtech and Barclay Meade will take place in May 2023.
