Evtec Automotive, an electric vehicle automotive supply specialist and member of the Auto Innovation Group, has appointed Steve Norris as Chairman.

Steve is a former UK Minister for Transport, has been a board member of many public and privately held companies and has a 50-year association with the UK automotive industry.

Evtec Automotive is a key part of the Auto Innovation Group which has been formed to create long-term investments in the UK automotive industry. A large part of its portfolio focuses on advanced technologies for electrified vehicles and businesses with strong ESG – environmental, social and governance – credentials.

His experience will be invaluable to us as we grow the business, bolstering the strategically important UK supply base for electrified vehicles that is vital to the future competitiveness of our industry.

Evtec Automotive, based in Coventry, counts Jaguar Land Rover and other major car manufacturers amongst its customer base as a Tier One supplier in the rapidly growing EV sector. Its sales are now back to pre-Covid crisis levels and it plans to expand to serve increasing demand for electrified vehicles.
