Pennon Group PLC, the owner of South West Water and Bournemouth Water, has added independent UK Law firm Burges Salmon to its legal services panel.

The appointment follows a review by Pennon Group last month of its panel of external legal advisers, which was led by group general counsel and company secretary Andrew Garard, group head of legal Emma Hough, and group deputy general counsel Barry Matthews.

Andrew Garard said: “We’re really pleased to have the Burges Salmon team on board as one of the trusted advisers on Pennon Group’s new legal services panel. Burges Salmon has a highly regarded reputation in the water sector and we look forward to building a sustained and long-lasting relationship with Mike and his team.”

Burges Salmon's water and wider sector specialists will have the opportunity to provide Pennon Group, as part of this panel appointment, with advice on a range of legal services including corporate, debt and equity markets, commercial and intellectual property, tax, pensions, litigation, employment, data protection and privacy, property and construction, and many other areas.
